In Ash Wednesday, Liz Taylor is an unhappy lady in her mid-50s who thinks a face and tummy lift will be the answer to her sagging marriage. So its off to Italy for the major surgery which she hopes will make her more appealing to her low-life husband (Henry Fonda). On her way home, the newly dazzling Taylor tries out her equipment on an interested gent (Helmut Berger) and feels she's ready for her main man. Unfortunately her hubby has already fallen for a younger lady.
